Triple Diamond Energy Corp. believes that America will soon find ways to become less dependent on foreign oil by discovering and implementing more fuel-efficient vehicles. The idea is not just a pipe dream. In fact, the populations several countries around the world are already using ultra fuel efficient vehicles as their main mode of transportation.

In this day and age, there is not a strong American demand for vehicles fueled with compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LPG).  Triple Diamond Energy Corp. and others in oil and gas and environmental industries believe that this lack of demand is primarily due to the influence of major car manufacturing companies.  These major corporations are doing little to promote vehicles fueled by natural gasses to consumers. Without media exposure, few consumers are aware of the benefits of these vehicles or even the availability.

Gasoline-Free Transportation in Europe and Asia

This is not the case for other countries.  In countries in Europe and Asia, vehicles fueled by natural gas are heavily promoted.  While many American car manufacturers such as General Motors do not market vehicles fueled by natural gasses in the United States, they are extremely interested in producing and selling vehicles powered by alternative fuels in these overseas markets.  After building the popularity of and market for vehicles fueled by natural gasses, General Motors will consider production and marketing through a foreign subsidiary company.

A Lack of U.S. CNG and LPG Fueling Stations

One of the reasons that General Motors and other car manufactures have not invested much time and energy promoting alternatively fueled vehicles in the United States is because natural gas for fuel is not readily available for all consumers.

At this point, there are over one thousand stations offering CNG in the United.  That might sound like a lot but the reality is most of these stations are reserved for private and commercial fleets.  Those that are available for the use of the general public are primarily located in California.  This means those who are not in California, or considering traveling outside of California, would find themselves owning a vehicle powered by natural gas that they could not use.

Meanwhile, in Europe and Asia, things are completely opposite.  The numbers of fueling stations throughout these countries is rapidly increasing.  This, combined with the smaller distances required for car travel, the popularity of vehicles fueled by natural gas is quickly increasing.  In Europe, owning a natural gas powered vehicle has fewer drawbacks than here in the United States.

A Reason for Hope

Triple Diamond Energy Corp. believes that with a bit more promotion and awareness that the US could become more like Europe and Asia.  Since many consumers in the United States of America are completely unaware of the benefits or popularity of vehicles powered by natural gas, their purchases are not on the rise. With the right marketing plan, the sales of vehicles fueled by natural gas in the United States could increase dramatically.

In Europe and Asia, aggressive marketing plans supported by General Motors have created a steady demand for the new, fuel efficient vehicles.  If the consumer base were to suddenly increase, more fueling stations would be encouraged to offer natural gas as a fueling option in order to maximize profits and keep customers as they change over to more energy efficient vehicles.

When major car manufactures expanding their production to include vehicles powered by natural gas, companies in the United States such as Triple Diamond Energy Corp. will be ready to meet the fueling needs of a new generation of consumers.
